The incident occurred on Thursday, May 15, in the Osman Gazi neighborhood of Esenyurt district. Citizens dining in a restaurant panicked, thinking the vibrations they suddenly felt were an earthquake. As they were startled, they rushed outside in fear, only to find out the reality was completely different.

SECURITY CAMERA CAPTURED THE MOMENTS SECOND BY SECOND

It was revealed that the actual cause of the incident, which citizens thought was an earthquake, was the loud music played by a car passing by. As citizens realized there was no earthquake, they took a deep breath, while the moments they fled the restaurant in fear were recorded by security cameras. The footage shows the moments when citizens dining in the restaurant suddenly got up from their tables and rushed outside.

"A GREAT PANIC OCCURRED ALL OF A SUDDEN"

The business owner Ayhan Acar commented on those moments, saying, "I was on duty that day. A car with a sound system passed by here. I actually understood what was happening, but my friends started to run away thinking there was an earthquake. Suddenly, there was a panic here. I saw everyone starting to run away, but after realizing the truth, it became a funny situation for us."

"IT TOOK A LITTLE TIME FOR CUSTOMERS TO UNDERSTAND"

Expressing that her customers experienced earthquake panic due to the bass sound, Leyla Uçar Acar said, "Suddenly, there was a loud noise while we were sitting. We noticed it, but the customers, of course, panicked because everyone thought there was an earthquake, so people started to run away. People experienced fear of an earthquake until they realized the situation. It really felt like an earthquake, but we understood there was no earthquake because we saw the vehicles. However, it took a little time for the customers to understand. After they realized, everyone laughed at themselves, and it became very entertaining afterwards."
