President Erdoğan made his first assessment regarding the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. Announcing that they will monitor the ceasefire, President Erdoğan said, "I would like to especially thank the brotherly countries Qatar and Egypt, which played a significant role in reaching the agreement. We will continue our struggle until the establishment of a Palestinian state."
While Israel and Hamas reached an agreement for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, this development resonated widely in the global public opinion.
ERDOĞAN: I AM VERY PLEASED
President Erdoğan also published an evaluation message on his X account regarding the ceasefire agreement reached in Gaza. Erdoğan stated, "I am very pleased that the Hamas-Israel talks, which were conducted in Sharm El Sheikh and to which we, as Turkey, contributed, have resulted in a ceasefire in Gaza."
"I WOULD LIKE TO THANK QATAR AND EGYPT ESPECIALLY"
President Erdoğan's message continued as follows: "I would like to especially thank the brother countries Qatar and Egypt, which provided significant support in reaching the agreement, as well as U.S. President Mr. Trump, who demonstrated the necessary political will to encourage the Israeli government towards a ceasefire."
"WE WILL CONTINUE OUR STRUGGLE UNTIL A PALESTINIAN STATE IS ESTABLISHED"
As Turkey, we will closely monitor the strict implementation of the agreement and continue to contribute to the process. Likewise, we will continue our struggle until an independent, sovereign Palestinian state is established based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, and possessing geographical integrity.
