Hamas confirmed the agreement regarding the first phase of the Gaza Plan and called on the international community to pressure the Israeli government to fulfill the terms of the agreement. On the other hand, Hamas submitted the list of Palestinians that Israel wants to release as part of the ceasefire agreement reached in Gaza.
While the repercussions of U.S. President Donald Trump's announcement that "Israel and Hamas have approved the first phase of the Peace Plan" continue, Hamas has also confirmed the agreement reached after Israel.
In a statement published by Hamas on the social media platform Telegram, it was reminded that the agreement foresees "the end of the war in Gaza, the withdrawal of occupying forces from the region, allowing humanitarian aid to enter, and the exchange of prisoners." It was stated, "We welcome the efforts of our mediating brothers in Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey. We also appreciate the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump aimed at ending the war and ensuring the withdrawal of the occupiers from the Gaza Strip."
"WE CALL ON ALL INTERNATIONAL PARTIES"
The statement emphasized that the international community must pressure Israel to comply with the agreement, stating, "We call on President Trump, the guarantor states of the agreement, various Arab and Islamic states, and all international parties: Pressure the occupying Israeli government to fully implement the requirements of the agreement and do not allow it to evade or delay the agreed-upon matters." The statement highlighted that Hamas remains committed to the "freedom, independence, and the right to self-determination of the Palestinian people, including all national rights."
THEY PROVIDED A LIST OF NAMES TO BE RELEASED
On the other hand, Hamas announced that it has submitted a list of Palestinians it wants Israel to release following the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement in Gaza.
In a statement from Hamas, it was noted that the list of Palestinians planned to be released through the prisoner exchange, in accordance with the criteria agreed upon in the ceasefire agreement, has been conveyed. It was stated that a final agreement on the names of the Palestinians to be released is expected, and the names will be shared after the necessary procedures are completed.
PRIMARY PRIORITY IS THOSE HELD IN PRISONS
The statement pointed out that Palestinians held in Israeli prisons are among Hamas's primary priorities, stating that efforts will continue "until the last Palestinian prisoner is released."
TRUMP ANNOUNCED THE AGREEMENT
U.S. President Trump made an important announcement regarding the ceasefire process in Gaza on his social media account. Using the expression, "I am very proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have approved the first phase of our peace plan," Trump emphasized that all prisoners will be released very soon with this agreement.
Trump continued: "This means that Israel's soldiers will withdraw from the agreed-upon line as the first step towards a strong, lasting, and eternal peace." He also thanked the parties and countries that contributed to the ceasefire process, stating, "We thank the mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey who worked with us to make this historic and unprecedented event happen." Trump emphasized that this agreement is very important for the Arab and Muslim world, Israel, the U.S., and regional countries.
