According to the information obtained, the fire started around 10:00 PM in a 26-story building located in the Yaşamkent neighborhood of Çankaya district. The fire, which began on the 4th floor for an unknown reason, quickly spread. Upon notification, a large number of fire brigade, police, health, and UMKE teams were dispatched to the scene.
EMERGENCY INTERVENTION TENT SET UP
Citizens trapped in the building were evacuated by fire brigade teams. An emergency intervention tent was set up in the area by UMKE teams. In the fire, Muharrem Çetinkaya (63), Hüsniye Çelik Şahin (33), and 3.5-month-old Aras Şahin lost their lives.

A total of 27 people, including 20 citizens and 7 firefighters, were injured due to the fire. The injured were transported to nearby hospitals by ambulances. Cooling efforts at the scene are still ongoing.
