Hamas denied the claim made by U.S. President Donald Trump that they did not accept a ceasefire agreement, stating, "The U.S. administration, mediators, and the entire world know that the only party obstructing the agreement efforts is the war criminal Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu."
The response from Hamas came to the accusation made by U.S. President Donald Trump that Hamas refused to accept the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
In a statement made by Hamas through the social media platform Telegram, it was emphasized that "Hamas has never been the obstacle to reaching a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip," and it was stated that "the U.S. administration, mediators, and the whole world know that the only party obstructing the agreement attempts is the war criminal Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu."
REMINDER OF THE QATAR ATTACK
The statement highlighted that Hamas has shown every kind of flexibility to reach a ceasefire, yet it was reminded that Netanyahu violated the temporary ceasefire established in January and recently ordered an attack on the Hamas negotiation team discussing Trump's ceasefire proposal in Qatar.
TRUMP HAD ACCUSED HAMAS
U.S. President Donald Trump, in his speech at the UN General Assembly, stated that they were making efforts for a ceasefire in Gaza, claiming that Hamas had not released the hostages held in Gaza and had not accepted the ceasefire agreement.
TRUMP ANNOUNCED NEXT TO ERDOĞAN: WE WILL END THE WAR IN GAZA
After this statement, Trump, who attended the Muslim Leaders Summit with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, said, "We will end the war in Gaza. We want to return to normal life in the Middle East with the leaders I respect."
Trump commented on the meeting, saying, "This is my most important meeting."
"IT WAS A VERY, VERY PRODUCTIVE MEETING, I AM SATISFIED, AND MAY THE RESULT BE GOOD"
President Erdoğan stated in a statement after the summit that the meeting was very productive.
In response to the question, "You were with Donald Trump at the Gaza Summit. Do you expect a concrete step for peace and for the innocent civilians there to come out of this?" Erdoğan replied, "The final declaration will probably be announced shortly. With the statements to be made by both Mr. Trump and Mr. Tamim (Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani), the final declaration of this evening's meeting will emerge, and we have concluded a very, very productive and beautiful meeting."
When asked, "Are you satisfied?" Erdoğan said, "I am satisfied. May the result be good."
