President Erdoğan addressed the 80th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) held in New York City, USA.
In his speech, as he did in previous years, Erdoğan drew the world's attention to the genocide occurring in Gaza, documenting the genocide committed by Israel with photographs.
Stating that the number of civilians killed in Gaza has exceeded 65,000, Erdoğan showed a photograph titled "Food was distributed to Palestinians struggling with hunger in Gaza," taken by Ali Jadallah on July 22, 2025.
The photograph titled "Food was distributed to Palestinians struggling with hunger in Gaza," taken by AA photographer Ali Jadallah on July 22, 2025. President Erdoğan said, "Please, let us all put our hands on our conscience and answer. Can there be a reasonable justification for such cruelty in 2025? However, this shameful scene for humanity has been repeating every day for 23 months in Gaza."
The photograph titled "Hunger and malnutrition continue to take lives in Gaza," taken by AA photographer Abdallah F.s. Alattar and published on July 26, 2025. "THIS IS THE LOW POINT OF HUMANITY" Secondly, showing the photograph titled "Hunger and malnutrition continue to take lives in Gaza," taken by Abdallah F.s. Alattar and published on July 26, 2025, Erdoğan used the following expressions:
"Here, in America, in Europe, everywhere in the world, if a small thorn pricks a child's hand, the hearts of parents ache; but in Gaza, children's hands, arms, and legs are amputated without anesthesia. No one should take offense, but this is the low point of humanity. Humanity has not witnessed such barbarity in the last century."
The photograph titled "Israeli soldiers withdrew, leaving heavy destruction in Jabalia, northern Gaza," taken by Dawoud Abo Alkas on May 31, 2024. "ISN'T THIS CALLED 'HOSTILITY TO LIFE'?" In his speech, Erdoğan also referred to the photograph titled "Israeli soldiers withdrew, leaving heavy destruction in Jabalia, northern Gaza," taken by Dawoud Abo Alkas on May 31, 2024, and said the following about the photograph that reveals the destruction in Gaza:
"Now I ask you, what does this photograph I hold have to do with the search for security? Isn't this called 'hostility to the living, hostility to life'? I openly express from this podium: There is no war in Gaza. There cannot be two sides in Gaza. In Gaza, on one side is a regular army equipped with the most modern and deadly weapons, and on the other side are innocent civilians, innocent children. This is not a fight against terrorism. This is an occupation, displacement, exile, genocide, or rather a policy of mass extermination carried out under the pretext of the October 7 incident."
