In his speech at the UN General Assembly, U.S. President Donald Trump accused Europe of being inadequate regarding Gaza, emphasizing that the solution will be achieved with Middle Eastern countries. He sent a message of cooperation by stating, "The most important meeting today is taking place at this table," while seating Erdoğan next to him.
US President Donald Trump emphasized in his speech at the United Nations General Assembly that the war in Gaza is the most important agenda item. Clearly stating his support for Israel, Trump said that the solution should be sought not in Europe, but in the Middle East.
HARSH CRITICISM OF EUROPE
In his speech, Trump targeted European countries with harsh words, claiming that the continent has "turned into hell." The US President, who has previously publicly scolded European leaders, accused Europe of "making the war worse" regarding Gaza.
SEATED ERDOĞAN NEXT TO HIM
Trump's messages drew attention not only through his words but also through the tables he sat at. Sitting at the same table with the leaders of Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Jordan, and Egypt, Trump also seated President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan next to him. In his speech here, he stated, "The most important meeting taking place today is happening at this table. We are here to end something."
"UN IS NOT WORKING"
Describing the United Nations as "a useless institution," Trump claimed that the organization creates new problems rather than solving existing ones. Clearly defining his boundaries regarding Gaza, the US President emphasized cooperation with Middle Eastern countries while excluding Europe. Trump's stance was interpreted as a message that, following Israel's attack on Qatar, diplomatic traffic has accelerated and that peace talks in Gaza will increasingly be conducted with a Middle Eastern focus in the future.
