New footage has emerged showing the moments when the body of Durdona Khakımova, who was killed in Şişli, Istanbul, was transported in a suitcase.
BOYFRIEND KILLED HER AND THREW THE BODY IN A CONTAINER
The incident occurred on January 24 in the Duatepe neighborhood on Kuyulubağ Street. Police teams were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report that a body wrapped in a sheet was found in a trash container on the street. Upon examination, it was determined that the head and legs of the body had been severed. A wide-ranging investigation was launched based on the statements of eyewitnesses.
Teams from the Homicide Bureau, in coordination with the Intelligence Branch Directorate, determined that D.A.U.T., who was identified as the victim's boyfriend, committed the murder, while G.A.K. assisted him. After reviewing hundreds of security camera footage, the teams identified that the suspects went to Istanbul Airport to flee to Georgia. The two suspects were captured and taken into custody after 8 hours of work, before they could leave the country. Other body parts were found in different trash containers in the same area, and another person named E.K. was also taken into custody in connection with the murder. The number of arrests in the investigation rose to 3.
