The tension in politics has risen again. MHP Deputy Chairman Semih Yalçın criticized CHP Chairman Özgür Özel with harsh words in a statement he made on his social media account. Yalçın stated that Özel is targeting the MHP to escape the weight of the agenda, claiming that the CHP has strayed from Atatürk's path.

MHP's Yalçın stated in his post, "CHP Chairman Özgür Özel has made it a habit to seek refuge in MHP opposition to escape the overwhelming weight of the agenda. Özel attacks the MHP whenever he draws political lightning on himself due to his inconsistencies and inexperience. In Özel's inexperienced hands, the CHP has completely strayed from Atatürk's bright path and has deviated into the dark corridors of anarchy, the ugliness of lies and slander," he said.
"PREFERING TO FEED ON HOSTILITY"
In his statement, Yalçın also criticized the CHP leader with the words, "Another path of oppression that Özel has taken is to base the CHP's policies on the principle of 'Our grudge is our religion.' Özgür Özel prefers to feed on violence and hostility rather than democratic instruments such as peace, reconciliation, and dialogue in politics."

At the end of his statement, Yalçın claimed that the CHP would pay a heavy price at the ballot box, saying, "The 'people' in its name will carry the CHP on their shoulders in the first general election. But how? They will place the CHP in a coffin and turn the ballot box into a musalla stone."
