STATEMENT FROM THE COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTORATE
In a statement made by the Communications Directorate regarding the matter, it was stated, "Our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will visit the Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party, Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, today at 5:00 PM. The visit will take place at Mr. Devlet Bahçeli's residence."
CRITICAL ISSUES ON THE AGENDA
Providing information about the highly anticipated meeting, CNN TÜRK reporter Arda Erdoğan stated, "On the agenda are the efforts being made towards the goal of a Terror-Free Turkey. The steps to be taken in the upcoming period within the scope of a Terror-Free Turkey are among the topics that Erdoğan and Bahçeli will negotiate. There is also foreign policy. President Erdoğan had met with Russian President Putin in China. It is expected that he will convey the reflections of that meeting to Bahçeli. This is important because there are diplomatic steps being taken by Turkey to establish a peace table in Istanbul for the Ukraine-Russia war. Other moves to be undertaken will also be on the agenda of the two leaders. Both the developments in Syria and the global diplomatic efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza will be on Erdoğan and Bahçeli's agenda," he said.
