The Ministry of National Defense stated that the claims regarding generals being searched at Anıtkabir and some soldiers being denied entry to the ceremony are based on old footage released in 2019 and photos generated by artificial intelligence. The ministry characterized the shares as an attempt to discredit the Turkish Armed Forces.
The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) clarified the claims circulating on social media regarding the August 30 ceremony at Anıtkabir during its weekly press briefing. The ministry stated that the claims about generals being searched and military personnel arriving with their families not being allowed into the ceremony do not reflect the truth.
THE IMAGE DATES BACK TO 2019
The statement said, "The claims that generals were searched with AI-generated photos, and that military personnel arriving with their families were not allowed inside, as well as the re-circulation of images that were immediately reported to the authorities by our ministry and our generals/admirals personally after being broadcast on a television channel in 2019, is an effort to discredit the Turkish Armed Forces and a systematic disinformation campaign."

The statement said, "Israel is committing crimes against humanity by disregarding the most fundamental human values in front of the world," and emphasized that the international community should increase its pressure and sanctions to ensure a ceasefire and take steps to establish a fair and sustainable peace based on a two-state solution.
