Minister Fidan responded to the question, "Some analysts are discussing that a new regional order has emerged where the U.S. primarily works with strong central states and excludes non-state actors. So where does Iran stand or should stand in this picture?" with the following answer:
"Iran can really stand in an excellent position. I am not talking about the current status quo; I am talking about the capacity and capabilities that Iran can showcase."

Recalling that he was in Iran two months ago and spoke openly with his Iranian counterparts, Fidan emphasized that Iran needs to build trust in the region.
Fidan stated, "They need to pay attention to how they are being followed by regional countries. Because they are not going anywhere, and we are not going anywhere either. Why is this important? Because within the system of nation-states, despite our ideologies, regimes, sects, and all other differences, we need to know how to cooperate and work together in our region."
