The body of 19-year-old Nail Can Yardımcı was found in the sea in the Konak district of İzmir. A friend of the young man, who is alleged to have taken drugs together with him and to have fallen into the sea while joking under the influence of substances, has been taken into custody in connection with his death.
The body found in the Melez Delta in the Konak district of İzmir has been identified as belonging to 19-year-old Nail Can Yardımcı. In the incident where his friend was taken into custody, it was claimed that the young man fell into the sea as a result of a fight that occurred under the influence of drugs.
THE YOUNG MAN'S LIFLESS BODY WAS FOUND IN THE SEA
The incident occurred yesterday morning in the Melez Delta. Citizens who saw a person lying motionless about 1 meter from the shore reported the situation to the police and health teams. The marine police dispatched to the scene quickly brought the individual ashore. During the examination conducted by the health teams, it was determined that the individual had lost his life. While police teams took security measures in the area, forensic teams conducted a detailed investigation on the beach. After the examination by the prosecutor at the scene, the body was taken to the İzmir Forensic Medicine Institute morgue.
HIS FRIEND WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
As a result of the investigation, it was determined that the body belonged to 19-year-old Nail Can Yardımcı. According to the work carried out by the police teams in the vicinity, it was claimed that Nail Can Yardımcı and his friend F.Z. (19) arrived in the area by motorcycle and used drugs there.
It was learned that the two friends, under the influence of substances, started joking around, and the joking quickly turned into a fight, during which Yardımcı fell into the sea from the rocks. It was revealed that F.Z., who saw his friend unable to get out of the water, moved away from the scene instead of asking for help. The procedures for F.Z., who was taken into custody, are ongoing at the Homicide Bureau of the Public Security Branch Directorate.
