The suspect, Rıdvan Direk, who arrived at the scene on an electric scooter and fled the same way, was quickly apprehended. The incident occurred in the Cihangir neighborhood of Avcılar on Friday, September 26, around 09:30. Metin Direk, who was preparing to enter his home, was injured and lost his life due to a gun attack by an unidentified person. During the investigation conducted by the police at the scene, 4 empty cartridges of 9 mm caliber were found.

In the investigation initiated by the Homicide Bureau teams, it was determined that the suspect, who was wearing a gray fleece, jeans, and a white mask on his face, arrived at the scene on an electric scooter and then fled in the same vehicle. While the police were reviewing the footage, it was learned that Rıdvan Direk's brother, C.D., stated in his testimony to the police that his brother Metin Direk had been injured by Rıdvan Direk with a spear and a machete 3 years ago. Direk also mentioned that his brother Rıdvan Direk was not in good mental health and had received treatment in the hospital 2 months ago.
HE WAS ARRESTED
Following this development, Rıdvan Direk was captured by the Homicide Bureau teams and brought to the Public Security Branch Directorate.
