Due to heavy rainfall in Aydın, the Büyük Menderes River overflowed. As a result of the flooding, agricultural lands in the Söke Plain were submerged. Producers in the region expressed their concerns due to a large portion of the cultivated areas being covered with water.
Recently, heavy rainfall in Aydın has caused flooding in the Büyük Menderes River once again. This time, the Söke Plain was submerged.
The increasing rainfall in the city has led to floods. Due to the heavy rain in the region, the Menderes River overflowed, and the agricultural lands in the Söke Plain were flooded.
AGRICULTURAL LANDS WERE SUBMERGED
Due to the flooding, cotton fields were damaged. Producers in the region are worried as a large portion of the cultivated areas is covered with water, and it has been reported that the extent of the damage will become clear after the water recedes.
The State Water Works (DSI) teams have started working in the part of the river that experienced flooding.
2 THOUSAND ACRES OF LAND WERE FLOODED
There was also flooding in the Büyük Menderes River the day before, with a large portion between Germencik and İncirliova, where 2 thousand acres of wheat fields were flooded.
