Teachers who experienced grievances during the interviews continued their protest in front of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security after starting it in front of the Ministry of National Education. One of the interview victim teachers, who had a nervous breakdown in front of the ministry, expressed their frustration by saying, "Aren't we the children of this country? There is a score difference between provinces. Today, fake diplomas are being discussed. We can no longer endure this."
Unemployed teachers who claim to have experienced victimization during the interview continued their protest in front of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, after starting their action in front of the Ministry of National Education (MEB). When the press statement made by Memur-Sen to protest the government's offer for civil servants and retired civil servants ended, the teacher candidates opened a banner to draw attention to the victimization they experienced.
"OUR PSYCHOLOGY IS DISTURBED, WE CAN'T LIVE ANYMORE"
A teacher who is a victim of the interview said, "I was eliminated because I attended the interview in Bursa, while those in Erzurum were appointed. Is there not a single compassionate official in this country? It has been 282 days. Our psychology is disturbed. We can't live anymore. Is there not a single conscientious official? The injustice is evident. We can't stand it anymore. We are on our way to Ankara in the snow and cold," expressing their grievances. Another teacher stated, "We have been in front of the MEB for months. We are seeking our rights, but we have not found a solution. They should support us. We are very tired. My years have passed. We want the return for our efforts. I have over 80 points. But someone who scored 75 points in my field was appointed."
"WE DON'T HAVE MONEY TO BUY TICKETS"
Another teacher, who said they came from Diyarbakır, reacted by saying, "I even prepared for the exam among the aftershocks during the earthquake. I ranked in my field. Even while there were ruins around us, I tried to prepare for the exam. These people eliminated me in the interview. One of the committee members said to me, 'Congratulations, teacher.' After that, we talked. The man told me, 'We didn't know that other provinces would give such high scores.' We have been struggling for months. We come from Diyarbakır to Ankara. We don't have money to buy tickets."
"WE ONLY WANT OUR RIGHTS"
Sevgi Süle, a teacher who is a victim of the interview, also addressed the Minister of National Education, Yusuf Tekin, saying, "Enough already. How are you doing this? Are we the marginalized of this country? They give 30 points to some people. But to us, they give 1 point. Are we not the children of this country? There is a point difference between provinces. Today, fake diplomas are being discussed. Make our voices heard. We can’t stand it anymore. What do we need to do? Should we set ourselves on fire? We have no job. Our family is about to fall apart. We don't want anything. We only want our rights. Give us our rights. We are telling the minister. What we want is only our rights."
