The Syrian army has begun to actively deploy armored vehicles and heavy weapons it has seized in areas where the terrorist organization YPG/SDG has withdrawn, reshaping the military balance on the front lines.

The Syrian army seized a large amount of military equipment, including abandoned T-55 and T-62 tanks and U.S.-made MaxxPro MRAP armored vehicles, following the withdrawal of YPG/SDF elements in the Shaddadi region of Hasakah. It is reported that these vehicles will be used by the Syrian army in active operations on the ground. The equipment left behind at the bases abandoned by the SDF included war materials that the organization left behind during its withdrawal.

BATTLE TANKS AND ARMORED CARRIERS

The seized armored vehicles and tanks include old Soviet-era main battle tanks such as the T-55 and T-62, as well as MRAP-class armored carriers; these types of vehicles had been added to the inventory by the SDF over the years through both acquisitions and external support.

THEY HAVE BEEN DEPLOYED TO THE FIELD

This development coincides with the Syrian army's advance in the northern and eastern regions where clashes with the SDF have intensified. In operations where the army is trying to secure control over strategic points, it is expected that this seized military equipment will be deployed as reinforcements to the existing forces on the ground.

CLASHES CONTINUE

Clashes between the terrorist organization YPG/SDF and the Syrian army are also ongoing in neighborhoods around Aleppo. It is reported that the army is advancing in these operations; the organization has withdrawn from some areas, but clashes continue intermittently.
