After killing her lover by slitting his throat and turning herself in to the police, the woman, along with her son and husband, was brought to court in Samsun. A.S., the son of Gamze Sagamer, who was in the car during the incident and was found to have attacked Ferit Marhan with a cleaver, denied the allegations of assault, stating, "I only broke Ferit's phone and threw it in the trash because my mother said he had sexual videos."
In the Canik district of Samsun, Ferit Marhan (45) was killed by having his throat cut with a knife and being struck on the head with a cleaver in his light commercial vehicle. Those detained in connection with the incident were Gamze Sagamer (38), with whom he had a romantic relationship, her husband D.A.S. (38), and their son A.S. (23), who were brought to the courthouse.
KILLED HIS SECRET LOVER AND SURRENDERED The incident occurred on January 24 at around 21:30 in Düvecik Neighborhood on 431st Street. According to allegations, Ferit Marhan met with Gamze Sagamer, with whom he was said to have a romantic relationship, and her son A.S. The light commercial vehicle driven by Marhan stopped on the emergency lane after a dispute. As the argument escalated, Ferit Marhan was killed by having his throat cut with a knife and being struck on the head with a cleaver. Later, Gamze Sagamer's husband, D.A.S., arrived in a vehicle, picked up his wife and son, and left the scene. While Gamze Sagamer went to the police station to surrender, the father and son went home. Police, responding to Sagamer's description, found Marhan's lifeless body at the scene. The police also detained D.A.S. and his son A.S. After the autopsy procedures, Marhan's body was buried on January 25.
MOTHER CUT HIS THROAT, SON STRUCK WITH A CLEAVER It was learned that Ferit Marhan had 4 children, while Gamze Sagamer had 3. In the police investigation, it was claimed that Gamze Sagamer cut Ferit Marhan's throat with a knife after a dispute, and then her son A.S. struck him with a cleaver. In the examination of Gamze Sagamer's phone, it was determined that the mother and son had messaged each other before getting into Ferit Marhan's light commercial vehicle.
"MY INTENTION WAS TO SCARE HIM, HIS THROAT WAS CUT" In her statement at the police station, Gamze Sagamer said, "We met a year ago and became lovers. We were having a relationship, and my husband was unaware. Recently, he was hitting me because I didn't want him anymore. I didn't want to get close to him; I was afraid. He went on a pilgrimage two months ago. From there, he sent me threatening messages. There was a restraining order due to my previous complaints, but it had expired on January 23. On the day of the incident, he came in front of my house. I took the cleaver and knife from the house and went down to him. My son saw me as I was getting into the car. Ferit was very drunk and had pepper spray in his hand. I told my son to come along, and he got into the car too. My son was sitting in the front, and I was in the back. I put the cleaver and knife from my pocket into the pocket behind the front right seat. We stopped somewhere and started arguing. When Ferit raised the beer bottle in his hand, I took the knife I had hidden, held his head with my left hand, and pressed the knife to his throat. My intention was to scare him, but his throat was cut. I struck him a few more times with the knife. Then I threw the knife away and took the cleaver. I moved to the front from between the seats. I took my son behind me and struck Ferit's neck with the cleaver a few more times. Then my husband opened the door. I said, 'Take me to the police station.' They dropped me off nearby, and I surrendered with the knife and cleaver," she stated.
"I BROKE THE PHONE WITH MY MOTHER'S SEXUAL IMAGES" Gamze Sagamer's son A.S. stated in his testimony, "On the day of the incident, my mother wanted me to be with her, so I went with her. I was sitting in the front, and my mother was in the back. They started arguing while the vehicle was in motion. Ferit was threatening my mother, but I didn't intervene. Then Ferit stopped the vehicle by the roadside. As the argument continued, my mother took out her knife and cut Ferit's throat with it. Then she struck him a few times with the cleaver. I did not attack Ferit. I called my father and asked him to come. He arrived about 10 minutes later. We dropped my mother off at the police station with my father's minibus and then went home. The police later took us away. My mother and I did not make a plan beforehand. My father stopped me by the roadside, and I broke Ferit's phone and threw it away because my mother said it had sexual videos," he said.
Three suspects, whose procedures at the police station were completed, were brought to the courthouse today.
