The Turkish furniture and decoration brand English Home started its international expansion in 2010 with Ukraine and quickly reached up to 35 stores, gaining a strong position in the market. However, recent economic and operational challenges have led the brand to decide to terminate its operations in Ukraine. According to reports in the Ukrainian press, the company has officially initiated the process of completely withdrawing from the country due to "market conditions and operational challenges."

ONLINE SALES STOPPED IN FEBRUARY

Signals of English Home's withdrawal were first seen in February 2025. The company's e-commerce site in Ukraine first removed prices, then disabled user registrations. Shortly after, the website was completely inaccessible. In a statement made from English Home's Instagram account in Ukraine, it was stated that online sales had been halted and shopping could only be done in physical stores.

UKRAINE REMOVED FROM THE LIST

It was noticed that Ukraine was removed from the list of "countries of operation" on the brand's global website. Although a few stores in the country are still open, it is reported that these stores will also be gradually closed.

GLOBAL STRATEGY BEING RESTRUCTURED

Since 2010, English Home has rapidly increased its foreign investments, achieving significant growth in the Middle East, Europe, and the Balkans. The decision to withdraw from Ukraine coincides with a period when the company is restructuring its global strategy. According to industry sources, English Home plans to direct its resources to more stable markets with high growth potential in the upcoming period.
