Çorum Mayor Halil İbrahim Aşgın reacted strongly to vendors who were reported to have insulted citizens at the neighborhood market or placed products of different quality in front of and behind their stalls. Mayor Aşgın instructed that the stalls of those vendors disrupting the order be closed.
Çorum Mayor Halil İbrahim Aşgın conducted inspections with the municipal police teams at the Saturday Market.
ACTION AGAINST THE TRADESMAN WHO CALLED THE CITIZEN 'FLY'
During the inspection, Aşgın reacted upon learning that a tradesman insulted citizens and called them "Fly." Aşgın stated, "Customers are not flies; they are our benefactors. Anyone who speaks like this cannot do business here," and ordered action to be taken against the relevant tradesman.
HE ORDERED THE STALL TO BE CLOSED
President Aşgın also intervened in a dispute between a citizen and a tradesman at the market. After listening to both sides, he stated, "There is no showing off to the citizen. No one will deceive anyone; the customer is right," and ordered the closure of the tradesman's stall.
"OUR PRIORITY IS TRUST AND RESPECT"
President Aşgın emphasized the importance of the order in sales areas and communication with citizens, stating, "Sales areas will be organized, and no one will treat citizens poorly. Our priority is trust and respect between tradesmen and citizens."
MARKETERS ARE REACTING
Some market vendors reacted to President Aşgın's attitude, arguing that the implementations were too harsh.
