The entertainment of two drift enthusiasts, who displayed dangerous maneuvers at the wheel in Etimesgut, Ankara, disregarding the safety of citizens, turned into a nightmare when it was caught by the Traffic Gendarmerie teams' radar. The driver's license of the individual caught for the second time for the same offense was permanently revoked.

The Ankara Provincial Gendarmerie Command did not allow traffic offenders who disregard both their own safety and that of citizens by turning the streets of the capital into a racetrack. As a result of strict inspections carried out in Etimesgut, two drivers who were drifting and endangering traffic flow were caught red-handed by gendarmerie teams.

THEY COULD NOT ESCAPE FROM THE GENDARMERIE TEAMS

According to a statement made on the social media account of the Gendarmerie General Command; the Traffic Gendarmerie teams within the Ankara Provincial Gendarmerie Command conducted a comprehensive traffic inspection in the Etimesgut region. During the inspections, two vehicles that were clearly endangering traffic safety by drifting on the roads were identified and stopped.

THE LICENSE OF THE SECOND OFFENDER WAS REVOKED

The penalties imposed on the caught drivers revealed the cost of not adhering to the rules. It was determined that one of the drivers had committed the same violation for the second time in the last 5 years. Due to this serious violation, the driver's license was permanently revoked, while the other driver's license was confiscated for a period of 2 months.

BOTH A FINE AND LEGAL ACTION

The penalties were not limited to just licenses; one of the vehicles was banned from traffic for 2 months. Additionally, legal action was initiated against both drivers for the crime of "Endangering Traffic Safety" under the Turkish Penal Code. The gendarmerie conveyed the message that inspections would continue uninterrupted to ensure traffic safety.
