The İzmir team's long-established club, Karşıyaka, is once again facing the threat of a trustee. In the extraordinary congress on December 24, the newly appointed management, which came to power at the last moment to prevent the authority from falling to the trustee, has not yet received the signing authority. If the issue is not resolved within the one-month legal period, the green-reds will again face the same threat. This season, Karşıyaka, which was left without management for 1.5 months due to consecutive resignations, has not yet been able to register the new management with the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports. Due to the financial deadlock the club is in and the fact that the managers are held individually responsible for public debts under the new law, some board members and those whose names are written in disciplinary and auditing committees are reluctant to provide their criminal records. THINGS ARE NOT GOING WELL IN THE CLUBIf Karşıyaka does not get the management elected at the congress approved by the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports by January 24, when the one-month legal registration period will expire, it will face the risk of going to a trustee again, even without the condition of holding a new congress. Unable to make important decisions due to the lack of signing authority, Karşıyaka is hindered from lifting the ban in football, making transfers, or terminating contracts. They cannot make transfers in volleyball, cannot sign TBF contracts in basketball, and cannot even appeal against lawsuits filed against the club. The time is running out for Karşıyaka, which has lost 4 key players in the basketball team. If the football team does not make a payment this week, 3 players who have received a warning through the TFF will gain the right to become free agents.
