RUBIO: WE WANT THE CONFLICTS TO END

When asked about Israel's attacks on Syria, Rubio said, "I just spoke on the phone with the relevant parties. We are very concerned about this, and I hope we will receive some updates later today." Rubio, who stated, "We want the conflicts to end," noted that a ceasefire was achieved overnight, but they are "still very concerned."

ISRAELI MEDIA: THE U.S. IS MEDIATING

Meanwhile, an Israeli diplomatic source speaking to Israeli state television KAN said that some parties, including the U.S. administration, have intervened to calm the situation in Syria. The Israeli source indicated that the U.S. is mediating to establish relations between the two countries, stating, "We hope that the Syrian side knows their expectations and will act rationally in a short time," while threatening the Syrian administration.

The Israeli source argued that Tel Aviv's actions depend on the events in southern Syria and the Syrian regime's ability to "prevent harm to the Druze." In response to the question of whether normalization with Syria continues and whether Israel supports regime change in Syria, he stated that he is "not in favor of making threats."

EVENTS IN SUEIDA

In Sueida, located on the Jordanian border in southern Syria, small-scale armed clashes began after Druze groups seized some vehicles belonging to Bedouin Arab tribes on July 13. The Israeli government had promised military and political support to the Druze minority against the Syrian regime in order to disrupt the integration efforts of the Druze region with the country following the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad's regime in Syria.

Figures such as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yisrael Katz had threatened that "attacks on Syria would increase." The Israeli army had also carried out airstrikes on the Syrian capital, Damascus.
