A drone attack on the Badre oil field located in the city of Duhok, Iraq, resulted in a violent explosion and fire. The Counter-Terrorism Unit reported that three oil fields in the Zaho and Duhok provinces were also targeted.
An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attack was carried out on the oil fields in the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in northern Iraq.
UAV ATTACK ON OIL FIELD IN DUHOK
An UAV attack was carried out on the Badre oil field in the Sheikhhan district of Duhok city in the evening hours. Following the attack, a violent explosion occurred at the oil field, and a fire broke out.
In a statement made by the Counter-Terrorism Unit affiliated with the KRG, it was noted that three separate oil fields in the provinces of Zaho and Duhok were targeted by 4 UAVs. This week in Iraq, multiple attacks had been carried out on oil fields in Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, and Duhok.
