AK Party, which is preparing to celebrate its 23rd anniversary tomorrow, is experiencing busy hours. For the first time, an official statement was made regarding the allegations of 'new additions' that have been discussed in Ankara circles for a while. SOME MEETINGS WILL BE HELD TODAYAK Party Deputy Chairman Hamza Dağ announced that there will be new names joining the party. Hamza Dağ stated in his statement, "There are 15 new additions in the municipality. There are also 2 as members of parliament. There may be some developments today due to some meetings" he said. ALL EYES ON THE FUTURE PARTYIt was claimed that Future Party Istanbul Deputy Selim Temurci would join AK Party after his meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Ahmet Davutoğlu stated about the issue, "I am aware of the meeting. Whoever is in the presidency responds to the invitation" which caused comments such as "There will be transitions from Future Party to AK Party" in the public opinion. "IF WE TRANSITION, WE WILL TRANSITION TOGETHER"The statements made by Future Party Ankara Deputy Nedim Yamalı on a television channel in the past days brought these allegations back to the agenda. Speaking about the allegations that Future Party will join AK Party, Yamalı said, "Ahmet Davutoğlu is aware of all the meetings held in the party. If we transition to AK Party, we will transition together with our leader Ahmet Davutoğlu, especially discussing how to unite the conservative community and overcome this fragmentation" he said. "WE ARE WHERE WE ARE"Following these statements, an announcement came from the Future Party side yesterday afternoon. Future Party Deputy Chairman Selçuk Özdağ, who strongly denied the allegations of joining AK Party, said, "We are where we are, we continue to be in opposition. We are facing a serious operation. News is coming out that 5 people are going to AK Party. It was even mentioned in my name, but no one called and asked me. We formed a group and became a very successful opposition" he said.
