In an explosion at a fireworks factory in the Bor district of Niğde, 1 worker lost their life and 1 worker was injured. Within the scope of the investigation, the facility's responsible manager and occupational safety specialist were arrested. The same factory had also experienced an explosion in 2018.

1 WORKER LOST HIS LIFE
An explosion occurred at a fireworks factory owned by a private company in the Kemerhisar town on June 26, around 4:00 PM. Workers Nuri Özkan and Yasin Demirbaş were injured in the explosion. Upon notification, health teams were dispatched to the area. The injured were taken to Bor State Hospital and Niğde Training and Research Hospital by ambulances. Despite doctors' efforts, Nuri Özkan could not be saved. Yasin Demirbaş, who was in critical condition, was admitted to intensive care. Özkan's body was laid to rest after the autopsy. Meanwhile, the explosion at the factory, which is located away from residential areas, was also captured on security camera. It was reported that an explosion had also occurred at the same factory on January 27, 2018, resulting in two deaths.
EXPLOSION OCCURRED AT THE SAME FACTORY 8 YEARS AGO
An investigation was launched by the Ministry of Interior into the explosion, with one chief civil inspector and one police chief inspector from the General Directorate of Security's Private Security Supervision Directorate assigned. As part of the investigation, technical and forensic examinations were initiated at the facility. The plant's responsible manager G.K. and occupational safety specialist M.C. were detained by the gendarmerie. After their procedures, the suspects were referred to the courthouse and arrested.
It was stated that examinations to determine the cause of the explosion are ongoing.
