2 BILLION LIRA MOVEMENT IN ACCOUNTS

Sharing details about the operation, Minister Yerlikaya stated: "In our operations conducted by our gendarmerie, we have captured 34 suspects with a transaction volume of 2 billion TL in their accounts! 29 of the suspects were arrested, and judicial control measures were applied to 5 of them."

THEY DEFRAUDED WITH "MOTOR, TELEVISION, AND CONTAINER" ADS

It was determined that the suspects defrauded our citizens under the guise of fake "motor, television, and container" ads on social media platforms, facilitated illegal betting through websites, and conducted illegal money transfers, as well as defrauded our citizens with ads like "earning money in cryptocurrency exchanges" through social media and fake websites.

Investigations have been initiated by our prosecutors against the suspects captured in the operations.

"WE CONTINUE TO FIGHT CRIMINALS IN CYBERSPACE"

I congratulate our governors, the Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices coordinating the operations, our Gendarmerie Cyber Crime Department, and our Provincial Gendarmerie Commanders who carried out the operations. Just as we do in the physical homeland, we are resolutely continuing our fight against crime and criminals in cyberspace with our virtual patrols."
