In the Gemerek district of Sivas, 3 people were swept away by the current while washing clothes in the Kizilirmak River; 2 children are missing, and 1 person was rescued. Search efforts continue.
In the Gemerek district of Sivas, 2 of 3 people who were swept away by the current in the Kızılırmak River have gone missing.
THEY WERE SWEPT AWAY WHILE WASHING LAUNDRY
Gülistan Şahin (20), who is known to be a seasonal worker in Burhan village, and children Zerda (13) and Gülseren Şahin (15), who came to the village with their families, were swept away by a strong current while washing laundry in the river. While Gülistan Şahin was pulled out of the water with the help of those nearby, the two children went missing in the river.
TEAMS SEARCH FOR 2 CHILDREN
Upon notification, health, gendarmerie, AFAD, and Kayseri Police Department diving teams were dispatched to the scene. Search efforts for the 2 children who went missing in the water are ongoing.
