Gendarmerie teams offer food to Afghan nationals found hungry, tired, says security source.

At least 22 irregular migrants, who illegally entered Turkey, were held Monday in the country's east, according to a security source.

Acting on a tip-off, gendarmerie teams in the Baskale district of Van province raided an address where they found the Afghan nationals, said the source on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media.

The teams offered water and food to the irregular migrants who were found hungry and tired.

They were taken to the provincial migration office, the source added.
