In an explosion that occurred in a restaurant on the ground floor of a building in the Torbalı district of Izmir, 5 people lost their lives and 57 people were injured. Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, who made a statement about the explosion, said, "According to initial determinations, an explosion occurred in the restaurant, which is believed to have originated from an industrial gas cylinder. The investigation regarding the matter is ongoing." Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç announced that an investigation has been launched by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the explosion.

STREET TURNED INTO A BATTLEFIELD

An explosion occurred around 15:00 in a bakery shop on Barış Manço Street. The street turned into a battlefield due to the explosion, which is said to be caused by natural gas. Many buildings in the vicinity were also damaged. Those who heard the loud explosion sound rushed out into the street in fear and panic.
