Explosion in a building in Izmir: 5 people died, many people were injured.

An explosion occurred in a building in Ayrancılar Neighborhood of Torbalı district in Izmir. Numerous health, police, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the area where there were casualties and injuries. The operations in the area are ongoing.

STREET TURNED INTO A BATTLEFIELD

An explosion occurred around 15:00 in a bakery shop on Barış Manço Street. The street turned into a battlefield due to the explosion, which is said to be caused by natural gas. Many buildings in the vicinity were also damaged. Those who heard the loud explosion sound rushed out into the street in fear and panic.

INJURED WAITED FOR HELP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET

Upon the citizens' report, 112 emergency teams were dispatched to the area. In the initial images from the scene, it was seen that many people were lying on the ground injured and the people around rushed to help.
