The Ministry of Interior reported that in an operation organized by the gendarmerie against drug manufacturers in Van, 333 kilograms of skunk were seized and 2 suspects were apprehended.
According to the statement from the Ministry, as a result of efforts by the Gendarmerie General Command Narcotics Crimes Department, in coordination with the Gevaş and Başkale Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices, and conducted by the Van Provincial Gendarmerie Command Narcotics and Intelligence Branch Directorates, it was determined that a truck driven by foreign nationals would be used for drug trafficking.
2 SUSPECTS DETAINED
In the subsequent operation, 333 kilograms of skunk drug were seized, and 2 suspects were captured.
The statement noted that security forces continue their determined efforts in drug operations without interruption, adding, 'We congratulate our heroic gendarmerie, our Department, Van Provincial Gendarmerie Command, Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices, and all those who contributed.'
