3rd International Regional Development Congress convenes in Aleppo: A new roadmap for the Syrian economy

The 3rd International Congress on Regional Development, to be held in Aleppo on September 14-15 with the participation of 77 academics from 14 countries, will be a critical turning point for the reconstruction of the Syrian economy and sustainable growth policies. Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Arslan, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Al-Bab, emphasized that the congress will present a strategic roadmap to guide the future of the region.

In the digitalizing world, while it gains strategic importance for countries to develop more balanced, sustainable, and inclusive regional development policies, a critical step is being taken that will shape the future of the regional economy. The 3rd International Regional Development Congress will be held on September 14-15 in Aleppo, Syria.

INTENSE PARTICIPATION WITH 77 PAPERS FROM 14 COUNTRIES

The congress is receiving great international interest. It is aimed that the congress will be completed with broad participation and rich content, with 77 academic papers to be presented from 14 different countries.

The main focus of the congress will be the reconstruction of the Syrian economy, determining a new roadmap, and the nature of the regional development policies to be implemented in this process. The organization, which carries great potential in terms of the number of participants and country diversity, is expected to directly contribute to Syria's economic future.

THANKS TO THOSE WHO CONTRIBUTED TO THE CONGRESS

Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Arslan, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (FEAS) in Al-Bab, who made evaluations regarding the preparation and implementation processes of the congress, drew attention to the strategic importance of the organization and thanked those who contributed.

In his published message, Prof. Dr. Arslan stated the following:

"The congress to be held is of great importance in terms of determining a roadmap for the new Syrian economy. When we look at the number of participants and the diversity across countries, it is clear that this will be an extremely beneficial organization.

I extend my endless thanks to Muammer Hakan Cengizbey, the Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Aleppo, and Prof. Dr. Mesut Dogan, the Rector of Gaziantep University, who have put great effort into the preparation and implementation process of this congress. I sincerely believe that the papers to be presented at the congress and the final declaration will constitute a roadmap for Syria's future and shed light on future academic studies."

At the end of the congress, the final declaration to be published is expected to include concrete policy recommendations and strategic steps for the regional economy.
