Hezbollah launched a heavy retaliation against Israel, which rejected the ceasefire agreement between Iran and the US and continued its attacks on Lebanon. In the drone strikes, 4 Israeli soldiers were killed, while Israeli Minister Ben-Gvir's statement that "Lebanon must burn" further escalated tensions.
The waters in the Middle East are far from calming. Hopes for a broad ceasefire achieved through a memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States have given way to fears of war, due to Israel's relentless attacks on Lebanon and a series of harsh statements. The clashes between Israel, which rejects a ceasefire and continues operations, and Hezbollah have entered their most violent phase.
HEAVY BOMBARDMENT ON LEBANON: 16 CASUALTIES
Despite all international warnings, the Israeli army, refusing to back down, has intensified its attacks on Lebanese territory. In Lebanon, which woke up to a heavy wave of bombardment, initial reports indicate 16 people have lost their lives. Hezbollah, the target, responded very harshly to this Israeli move.
4 ISRAELI SOLDIERS BURNED TO DEATH IN DRONE ATTACK
In a drone attack carried out by Hezbollah against Israeli forces, 4 Israeli soldiers were burned to death after their vehicle caught fire. In another attack on the same day, it was reported that 5 Israeli soldiers were seriously injured.
TERRIFYING STATEMENT FROM ISRAELI MINISTER: LEBANON MUST BURN
Following consecutive military losses, a feared statement that would shake the world came from the Israeli front. In his assessment of the attacks, Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called for revenge, using the following words:
"For every crying Israeli mother, a thousand mothers should cry in Lebanon... Lebanon must burn!"
SMOTRICH'S DISCOURSE: "OPEN THE GATES OF HELL"
Far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich also commented on the killing of 4 Israeli soldiers, stating that it was "a difficult morning."
Smotrich, who demanded increased attacks on Lebanon, used the words: "Open the gates of hell."
In a statement from the Israeli army, it was noted that Hezbollah had launched a drone attack at midnight on an Israeli tank near the town of Kfar Tebnit in southern Lebanon and the Ali Taher Hill.
It was reported that 4 Israeli soldiers were killed in the Hezbollah attack, including Lieutenant Colonel Dor Gedalia Ben Shimhon, commander of the 52nd Battalion.
IRAN CANCELS PEACE TALKS
While the Israeli army emphasized that attacks on Lebanon would continue uninterrupted, the diplomatic table has completely collapsed. The Iranian administration announced that it has unilaterally canceled the peace talks planned for today, citing the heavy attacks on Lebanon as justification.
"THEY WILL RECEIVE A HARDER SLAP"
The Tehran administration warned that if Israel's attacks continue, it will completely shelve the memorandum of understanding reached with the United States. Delivering a harsh message regarding the ongoing crisis, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf directly targeted the US and Israel, signaling that the possibility of war in the region is increasingly strengthening, saying, "They have received a slap before. If they continue on this path, they will receive a harder slap."
