Payments totaling 5.4 billion lira have started to be made under the home care assistance program. It has been reported that the total amount will be deposited into all accounts sequentially within this month.

The Minister of Family and Social Services, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, reminded that the Home Care Assistance was initiated in 2006 with the idea of primarily supporting individuals with disabilities alongside their families. Göktaş stated that the priority is to provide care for disabled citizens at home, saying, "With Home Care Assistance, we support the preservation and strengthening of family unity by allowing individuals with disabilities to live with their families or loved ones without being separated from their living environment."

"WE HAVE STARTED DEPOSITING 5.4 BILLION LIRA INTO ACCOUNTS"

Stating that a monthly payment of 10,125 lira is made per person under the Home Care Assistance program, Göktaş said: "This month, we have started to deposit a total of 5.4 billion lira in Home Care Assistance into the accounts for fully dependent citizens being cared for at home and their families. On average, 544,000 citizens benefit from Home Care Assistance monthly. I wish that the payments will be beneficial for all disabled citizens and their families. As a ministry, we will continue our efforts to ensure that rights-based social assistance in the field of disability is sustainable with a transparent understanding."
