PENALTY FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT RENEW THEIR DOCUMENTSKalkan informed that citizens can renew their driver's licenses for 15 lira until the end of the year, and continued: "The fee to be paid for the renewal of old type driver's licenses is set at 15 lira in the Highway Traffic Regulation. However, if the driver's licenses are not renewed by December 31, 2024, citizens will not benefit from the discounted rate in 2025. Additionally, citizens will not be able to drive vehicles with old type driver's licenses. Since the old type driver's license will become invalid, citizens will face penal sanctions regulated by the Highway Traffic Law when they drive with these licenses." IT IS ALSO POSSIBLE TO PAY DIFFERENT FEES AT ONCEKalkan stated, "The 13 lira fee for the valuable paper can be paid through the website of the Revenue Administration or from contracted banks. The 2 lira foundation share can be paid from the banks contracted with the Turkish Police Organization's Strengthening Foundation. Most public banks accept the payment of the 15 lira fee in a single package." Kalkan reported that the printing of new type driver's licenses takes a maximum of 2 business days, saying, "Once the printing process is completed, all shipments are delivered to PTT. PTT delivers within 1 day in 56 provincial centers, 2 days in other provincial centers, and within 4 days in villages and districts."
