Following the harsh threats from U.S. President Donald Trump towards Iran, a two-week ceasefire was established under the mediation of Pakistan, conditional on the opening of the Strait of Hormuz. The details of Iran's 10-point proposal, which includes the lifting of sanctions, the withdrawal of U.S. forces, and the recognition of nuclear activities, have also become clearer.

On the 40th day of the war that began with the attacks of the US and Israel on Iran, a 15-day ceasefire was achieved. The announcement of the ceasefire came shortly before the deadline set by US President Donald Trump for Iran.

Trump stated that he had discussions with Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Pakistan's Chief of General Staff Marshal Asim Munir, conveying that Sharif and Munir requested him to halt attacks on Iran. Trump said, "I agree to suspend bombings and attacks on Iran for two weeks, provided that Iran accepts to open the Strait of Hormuz completely, immediately, and safely. This will be a bilateral ceasefire."

Trump mentioned that they received a 10-point proposal from Iran, stating, "We believe this is a viable basis for negotiation. An agreement has been reached on almost all of the various points of disagreement between the US and Iran in the past. The two-week period will allow for the finalization and completion of the agreement."

Trump described the Iran agreement as a flawless victory, stating that China convinced Iran to negotiate.

IRAN: CEASEFIRE WILL BEGIN ON APRIL 10

The Iranian Supreme National Security Council stated, "We aim to conclude the negotiations to be held in Pakistan within 15 days and to confirm the victory on the ground in the political arena as well."
