As part of the new season squad planning at Fenerbahce, parting ways with Nelson Semedo is on the agenda. It has been reported that the yellow-navy club, aiming to free up a slot in the foreign player quota, has added three players who comply with the U23 rule to its list as potential replacements for the Portuguese right-back, with one of the candidates being Chelsea's 20-year-old player Josh Acheampong.
It has been reported that Fenerbahçe plans to part ways with Nelson Semedo, who is entering the final year of his contract, in order to free up a spot in the foreign player quota. The yellow-navy club wants to transfer a young player who complies with the U23 rule to replace Semedo if he leaves.
25 MILLION EURO ACHEAMPONG ON THE LIST
According to Fanatik's report, one of the names on Fenerbahçe's list is Josh Acheampong, who plays for Chelsea. The English footballer, who can play as a center-back and right-back and stands at 1.90 meters tall, has a market value of 25 million euros. It was stated that Chelsea does not want to let the 20-year-old, who is part of their future plans, go permanently, but is open to a loan exit.
THREE NAMES ON THE LIST
Fenerbahçe has two alternatives besides Acheampong. Hector Fort, who plays for Barcelona, and Sael Kumbedi from Wolfsburg are also among the yellow-navy club's U23 right-back candidates. It was stated that the management plans to add one of the three players to the squad to fill the gap that would arise after a potential departure of Semedo.
