His father Hıdır Karahalid, who migrated to Turkey from Syria in 2016 with his wife and 4 children, enrolled his football-loving son İdris Karahalid in the youth academy of Osmaniye Yeşilovaspor, which competes in Group B of the Osmaniye 1st Amateur League, when he was 7 years old.
HIS DREAMS REMAINED UNFULFILLED
İdris, who played football at every opportunity, had the biggest dream of meeting Mauro Icardi, the former player of Galatasaray, the team he supported, and Muhammed Salah, who transferred to Trabzonspor.
Three days ago, when he suddenly fell ill while playing football with friends in the neighborhood, his father took İdris to Osmaniye Training and Research Hospital in a private vehicle.
İdris, who was found to have suffered a heart attack, could not be saved despite interventions. İdris's funeral was held at Asri Cemetery.

His father Hıdır Karahalid, who is in shock from the sudden loss of his son, watches İdris's videos on his mobile phone.
Father Karahalid said his son was playing football with friends in the neighborhood before the evening call to prayer.
Karahalid, who said he saw his son sitting in front of the house, said: "I saw that while he was sitting, the ball in his hand fell to the ground. Then he fell himself. I ran over and saw the child lying on the ground with his mouth and eyes open. I shouted 'Call an ambulance.' My neighbor said 'The car is ready, get in.' While going to the hospital, I rubbed his heart and neck. I gave mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, but he wasn't moving at all."
HE RECEIVED THE SAD NEWS LIKE THIS
Karahalid, noting that doctors immediately began intervening on his child at the hospital, said: "After 1 hour, the doctor came out and said 'His heart has stopped, wait.' After 1 hour, the doctor came again and said 'İdris died, my condolences.'"
Karahalid stated that there were no signs of any illness in İdris and that his son was a very active and cheerful child.

Father Hıdır Karahalid, emphasizing that İdris loved football very much, said the following:
"He loved Galatasaray very much among the teams in Turkey. His cousins are also footballers like him. They all love Galatasaray very much. He loved Cristiano Ronaldo very much. He would imitate his moves while playing football. He loved Icardi very much at Galatasaray. He also loved Muhammed Salah very much. He really wanted to meet, see, and spend time with the footballers he loved."
