A 39-year-old meat company is on the brink of bankruptcy.

The concordat request of Seret Et, which has been operating for 39 years, was rejected by the court. With the decision, both temporary and definitive deadlines and all measures were lifted. The company lost its legal protection against creditors.

Seret Meat and Food Industry Trade Limited Company, which has 39 years of experience in the meat and food sector, and its partner Servet Bekar have received a decision in the concordat case they opened. The Istanbul 1st Commercial Court rejected the requests for the approval of the concordat and the granting of a definitive period in the case numbered 2025/317.

ALL PROTECTION DECISIONS HAVE BEEN LIFTED

In its decision made during the hearing on January 15, 2026, the court ruled to lift all previously granted temporary period, definitive period, and measures applied within the scope of the concordat regarding the company and its partners. With this decision, the company completely lost the legal protections provided during the concordat process.

DECISION TO BE NOTIFIED TO INSTITUTIONS

The court decided to publish the ruling regarding the rejection of the concordat request and the lifting of the period decisions in the Trade Registry Gazette and the official announcement portal of the Press Announcement Institution. Additionally, it was ruled that the decision should be immediately notified to the relevant institutions in accordance with Article 288 of the Enforcement and Bankruptcy Law.
