The allegation of sexual assault against a school principal in Chennai, India, directed at a newly appointed teacher has shaken the educational community. According to the allegations, the 40-year-old female principal assaulted the 22-year-old teacher on just her fifth day in the position. The incident, which took place in the Injambakkam area, occurred at the young teacher's home while discussing year-end exams. It is claimed that the principal mixed drugs into the drinks she offered to the teacher. The teacher, who lost consciousness, came to hours later, half-naked and injured. The young teacher filed an official complaint with the Thiruvanmiyur police department. Following this, the principal was arrested but was released on bail. The teacher, whose injuries were deemed serious, was transferred to Royapettah State Hospital as she was in a condition that could not be treated at a private hospital. While the police have launched a comprehensive investigation into the incident, the names of the parties involved and the school have not been disclosed for the protection of the victim.
