A 5.5 magnitude earthquake has been reported in China's southwestern Sichuan province.
According to a statement from the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC), a tremor with a magnitude of 5.5 was recorded late at night, with its epicenter in Gaoxian County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province.
13 PEOPLE INJURED
No casualties were reported in the initial assessments of the earthquake, which occurred at a depth of 6 kilometers, but 13 people with minor injuries were taken to hospitals for treatment.
A Level 3 emergency was declared after the earthquake, and 196 people living in damaged buildings were relocated to temporary shelters.
