In Kağıthane, 72-year-old Kenan Kabakulak was arrested for sexually abusing a 17-year-old girl, claiming he was "exorcising a demon," and for harassing his niece. It was determined that the suspect was wanted for a total of 27 years in prison for sexual abuse offenses for which he was tried without detention in 2024. Kabakulak has been sent to prison.

Kenan Kabakulak, who claims to distribute healing by organizing religious conversations in Kağıthane, alleged that he was born using the names of some religious scholars and that he could see the jinn, which he referred to as creations. He claimed to heal the ailments caused by them using a technique of striking with bare hands.

K.D., a 17-year-old girl who attended these religious conversations, believed what Kenan Kabakulak said. After one meeting, Kabakulak locked K.D. in a room and said, "I will take the jinn off you." He then removed her clothes and sexually abused her. Kenan Kabakulak continued his relationship with the young girl by threatening her, "Don't tell your family, or they will get sick." After a while, he also deceived K.D.'s aunt using the same method and sexually assaulted her.

WANTED WITH 27 YEARS OF PRISON SENTENCE

Following the complaints of the young girl and her aunt, Kenan Kabakulak was detained and began to be tried for 'Child Sexual Abuse' and 'Sexual Assault'. The suspect received a total of 27 years in prison for these crimes while being tried without arrest in 2014.

After his sentence was upheld, the suspect, who was wanted as a fugitive, was found by the teams of the Wanted Persons Bureau. Kenan Kabakulak, who was learned to be hiding in a house in the Şişli district, was captured and detained. The suspect, whose procedures were carried out at the Wanted Persons Bureau of the Public Security Branch, was handed over to prison.
