In the Sarız district of Kayseri, 72-year-old Mustafa Ö. was attacked by street dogs. While the locals struggled to drive the dogs away with tractors, the elderly man lost his life.
A 72-year-old man has died after being attacked by stray dogs in the Sarız district of Kayseri.
ELDERLY MAN DIED
According to the information obtained, stray dogs attacked Mustafa Ö. (72) in an empty field in the village of Gümüşali in the early hours of the morning. While the locals struggled to drive the dogs away with tractors, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. It was determined during the medical team's examination that the elderly man had passed away. After the investigation, the lifeless body of the elderly man was taken to the morgue of Sarız State Hospital.
"THE DOGS WON'T LEAVE US ALONE"
Witnessing the incident, Kemal Polat requested authorities to take measures against stray dogs, stating,
"I was sleeping, Mustafa uncle's son called me, saying, 'Hurry, the dogs are attacking my father.' When I arrived, he was lying here. The dogs won't leave us alone; they were waiting on top of the corpse. Finally, when we drove a tractor over them, the dogs ran away. We saw that he had passed away. Authorities need to take precautions for these dogs."
