A woman who attempted to rob a jeweler in Kayseri by pretending to be elderly and using stones and pepper spray has been arrested by the court. In her statement, the woman said she had been subjected to mobbing at her workplace, stating, "I tried to invest in cryptocurrency but was scammed. While walking around the market, I saw the jewelers. It angered me that they were living in comfort while I was struggling. I planned the incident in the moment, and I regret it."

(35), who was arrested for attempting to rob a jewelry store in Kayseri while acting like an elderly person and using stones and pepper spray, claimed in his statement that he was subjected to mobbing at his workplace, saying, "My psychology deteriorated when I fell into debt. The incident occurred on March 13, at the workplace in Kazancılar Bazaar in the Cumhuriyet neighborhood of Melikgazi district. The bank employee N.Ç. came to M.O.'s jewelry store wearing glasses and a headscarf to avoid being recognized. N.Ç., who stated that he wanted to buy gold of various amounts, attacked M.O., the store owner who informed him, with the pepper spray and stone he brought with him. Upon the notification of neighboring shopkeepers who heard the struggle between M.O. and the suspect, police teams were dispatched to the address. N.Ç. was detained and arrested by the court he was brought to.

The statement of the suspect N.Ç. has also emerged. Claiming that he was subjected to mobbing at his workplace and had difficulties, N.Ç. stated, "I was forced to resign. I tried to invest in cryptocurrency but was victimized and scammed. My psychology deteriorated when I fell into debt. While walking in the market, I saw the jewelers. It annoyed me that they were living in prosperity while I was in such difficulty. I planned the incident in a moment and entered a random jewelry store. If my aim was to steal the gold, all the gold was in front of me. I would have done it after neutralizing them, but I didn't. I did not cause any damage to the workplace. I am very regretful for my actions."

On the other hand, the robbery attempt was captured by the security camera of the workplace. In the footage, it was seen that N.Ç. sprayed the pepper spray he took out of his pocket on the store owner, who was trying to show him the jewelry, and then hit him on the head with a stone. It was also recorded that the store owner retaliated and a struggle occurred between the parties. Additionally, in the footage, it was noted that the store owner told one of his neighbors, "Thief, call the police."
