The businessman A.A. was kidnapped from İzmir and taken first to Bursa and then to Istanbul. The textile entrepreneur, for whom a ransom of 15 million lira was demanded, was rescued by police teams in Bağcılar. Of the 5 suspects detained in connection with the incident, 3 were arrested and sent to prison.

THEY KIDNAPPED HIM FROM IZMIR TO ISTANBUL
It was determined that the kidnapped A.A. was first brought to the Karacabey district of Bursa and was handed over to other suspects who came from Istanbul. The police identified the license plate of the vehicle used by the suspects and found the car parked in Bağcılar.
RESCUED IN A MOVIE-LIKE OPERATION
In the conducted operation, it was determined that the suspects demanded a ransom of 15 million lira for A.A. After it was established that the suspects were located in a site very close to where they parked their vehicle, the teams initiated the operation. Businessman A.A. was rescued in the operation, while 5 suspects related to the incident were taken into custody.
3 SUSPECTS ARRESTED
In the statements taken from the suspects interrogated at the Robbery Bureau, they claimed that they were trying to collect 15 million lira owed to them by A.A.'s family members. The suspects V.A. (39), A.K. (27), O.Y. (24), E.K. (44), and D.K. (25) were referred to the courthouse after their procedures. While O.Y., E.K., and D.K. were arrested, A.K. was released under house arrest, and V.A. was released with judicial control conditions of a travel ban abroad.
