The video of Mustafa Seccad Yıldırım, the son of AK Party Elazığ Provincial Chairman Şerafettin Yıldırım, using drugs has surfaced. Şerafettin Yıldırım claimed that the footage was released for blackmail purposes and that his son had fallen into the trap of loan sharks, stating, "These people thought that by using my political influence, I would pay the money, but I told them, 'I swear I will not pay.'"

The son of AK Party Elazığ Provincial Chairman Şerafettin Yıldırım, Mustafa Seccad Yıldırım, has been featured in a video taken while using drugs. Yıldırım stated that the footage was circulated to demand money from him by saying, "My son owes us money."

"THEY TRAPPED HIM"

Claiming that his son fell victim to loan sharks, Yıldırım said, "He got into trouble due to his past business relationships, and he stopped trading 7-8 months ago. Some immoral people have trapped my son in such a way under the guise of car trading that they sold a car worth 500,000 lira for 1 million, and then bought the same vehicle back for 500. There is no real creditor. These people thought they could use my political position to make me pay, but I told them, 'I swear I will not pay.'

"I SAW THE VIDEO"

Yıldırım, who stated that he watched the video, claimed that the footage was taken by his son's former partner:

"A year ago, while four people were together, his partner recorded this video and kept it. I reported it to the police; they were detained but released on bail. If my son did something wrong, let it be pursued. But this is an attempt at blackmail."

"THERE ARE POLITICAL CALCULATIONS"

Yıldırım alleged that there is political ambition behind the blackmail attempt, saying, "They want to hit me through my son. I have been the provincial chairman for six years; I have not been anyone's man, I have only stood by our chairman. We have passed the municipal and parliamentary elections, and now these games are being played with the ambition of provincial chairmanship. I will not give anyone a chance."
