The family, who received a medical report of the assault, filed a complaint against the attacking students. The father reacted by saying, "My daughter could have died, we want justice."

The family filed complaints not only against the students but also against the school administration and the guidance counselor. The father stated that he had previously informed the school administration that his daughter was attending a rehabilitation center and that she should especially avoid head injuries.
