Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates, affected by the ongoing war in the Middle East characterized by mutual attacks between the US, Israel, and Iran, have made a call to both sides. The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and the President of the UAE, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, urged for an end to the regional tensions and a return to dialogue and diplomatic solutions.

The attacks by the US and Israel on Iran continue while Tehran's retaliations are ongoing, and a phone call was made between Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

CALL FOR ENDING TENSION AND RETURNING TO DIALOGUE

During the meeting, the two leaders exchanged mutual information regarding the situation of their countries and peoples following the recent Iranian attacks. The parties strongly condemned the attacks, emphasizing that they constitute a violation of the sovereignty of both countries and are clearly contrary to international law and the United Nations (UN) Charter.

US-ISRAEL ATTACKS ON IRAN

While negotiations continue between Tehran and Washington, Israel and the US launched a military attack on Iran on February 28. Iran responded with attacks on targets it identified in several regional countries, including the UAE, Kuwait, and Qatar, where US bases are located, in addition to Israel. In the US-Israel attacks, Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with many high-ranking officials, was killed. Iranian Health Ministry Spokesman Hossein Kermanpur announced that 926 people lost their lives in the US-Israel attacks. Israel reported that since the start of mutual attacks with Iran, 11 people have died, and 502 people, including those who experienced panic attacks, have been injured.
