As attacks by the US and Israel on Iran continue, Iran's National Security High Council Secretary Ali Larijani claimed that some US soldiers have been captured. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) denied the allegation, arguing that Iran is spreading disinformation and reminded that they had previously announced the deaths of 6 US soldiers in earlier conflicts.
As the war escalates with the attacks of the US and Israel on Iran, a striking claim has emerged from the Tehran front. While Iranian officials allege that some US soldiers have been captured during the conflicts, the Washington administration has firmly denied this claim.
HEADLINE-GRABBING CLAIM
Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, stated in a post on his social media account that he has been informed about the capture of US soldiers. Larijani said, "I have been informed that a few American soldiers have been captured. However, the Americans claim that these soldiers were killed in the conflict. Despite their futile efforts, they cannot hide the truth for long."
CENTCOM RESPONDS QUICKLY
Larijani's statement quickly resonated widely in the international public, while the US side categorically denied the claim.
"THEY ARE DOING EVERYTHING THEY CAN TO SPREAD LIES"
Tim Hawkins, spokesperson for the US Central Command (CENTCOM), stated that Iran's claims do not reflect the truth. Hawkins said, "The Iranian regime is doing everything it can to spread lies and deceive everyone. This is a clear example of that."
On the other hand, CENTCOM had previously announced that 6 US soldiers lost their lives in the conflicts with Iran. Following Iran's claim of "captured soldiers," comments have been made that the information war in the region is also gaining momentum, while tensions between the parties are escalating.
