Doğuş, who competed in the previous seasons of Survivor, returned to the show in the 2026 season alongside the All Stars. This time, Doğuş came to the forefront not for his performance on the island, but due to an emotional plea from his family. In an interview, Doğuş's wife called for him to return.

Hoşkedem Hidayetkızı stated in her announcement that the children miss their father very much, saying, "I would sacrifice myself for you to come back. The children are crying a lot, and this situation negatively affects their lessons and psychology."
